COMPETITION AGGREEMENT

AIM OF COMPETITION
To support young ceramists, increase cultural partition and contribute to contemporary ceramic art within the annual Spring Festival organized by Usak University.
THEME OF COMPETITION
Free.
COMPETITION CONDITIONS

• Associate degree, undergraduate, graduate degree and Arts Proficiency (doctorate) students of ceramics and tile departments of University Academies and Fine Arts Faculties and equivalent Faculties in Turkey and abroad can participate.
• The size must be 15X15 cm and the thickness must be 1 to 5 cm.
• The works must be fired and glazed.
• The participant’s work will adjust to ceramic techniques and materials. Pieces with less than %80 ceramic work will not be accepted.
• Each participant can participate with only one piece.
• Name, last name or signature must be on the right corner of the tile not to exceed 3x1 cm.
• The works will not be returned.
• The tiles selected after the evaluation of the Jury will be exhibited on the wall built in Usak University 1 Eylul Campus ‘Art Park’.
• The back sides of the tiles must be designed to be mounted on the wall.

PARTICIPATION

• The participants must fill the attached form in full and send or deliver it with the work until April 05 2010 to the mentioned address.
• 300 dpi jpeg formatted picture of the work must be e-mailed or sent with the work.
• The participants may follow their application from our web address.

• Success Award – 1000,00 TL + Plaque + Success Certificate + catalogue
• Special Jury Award – 750,00 TL + Plaque + Success Certificate + catalogue
• Youth Award ( Café Lâl / Adem YALCIN ) – 750,00 TL + Plaque + Success Certificate + catalogue
• Personal and Corporation Awards

* Participation Certificate and catalogue will be given to the artists who pass the jury evaluation and did not receive an award.

RESULTS AND EVALUATION
The Jury will meet and evaluate on Wednesday, April 07 2010 in Usak University Fine Arts Faculty.
The results of the competition and date of award ceremony will be announced in Usak University web site.
The tiles awarded and selected will be exhibited on the I. International Young Ceramists Tile Competition wall built in Usak University 1 Eylul Campus ‘Art Park’.and the awards will be handed at the opening and award ceremony.
DELIVERY
The works must be delivered in person or sent by post or freight until April 05 2010 Monday to Usak University.
The responsibility of delay and damage cased in post or freight will not be accepted.

7° Concorso Arte della Ceramica

Le opere partecipanti al Concorso

Il Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza in collaborazione con Istituto Statale d’Arte per la Ceramica “G. Ballardini” ha allestito nell’ “Aula Rambelli” (Scalone Barocco del Palazzo Strozzi, ex Spada) del MISA " Museo dell’Istituto Statale d’Arte (corso Baccarini 17 - Faenza) la mostra del 7° Concorso "Arte della Ceramica"

Nella riunione della Giuria di premiazione, del 9 maggio 2009, delle opere partecipanti al "56° Premio Faenza - Concorso Internazionale della Ceramica d’Arte Contemporanea 2009" e al "7° Concorso  Arte della Ceramica" in merito alle opere del 7° Concorso “ARTE DELLA CERAMICA”, a tema "Versatore senza manico, altezza mass. cm 30" riservato ad allievi di istituti d'Arte italiani la Giuria internazionale composta da:

David Cameo, Direttore della Manifattura di Sèvres, Francia

Luigi Ontani, artista, Italia

ammettendo all’unanimità n. 109 opere provenienti da 18   Istituti scolastici ha assegnato i premi come di seguito elencato:

Premio di € 1.550,00 della Fondazione Banca del Monte e Cassa di Risparmio Faenza all’opera “Senza titolo”  realizzata dalla classe IV c  dell’Istituto d’Arte - Liceo Artistico “F. Arcangeli” di Bologna


Premio di € 1.550,00 dell’Amministrazione Comunale di Faenza all’opera “Favo nero” realizzata da Marco Iuvinale dell’Istituto d’Arte “F. A. Grue” di Castelli (Te)

Premio di € 1.550,00 dell’Associazione Amici della Ceramica e del Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza all’opera “Nasone” realizzata da Francesco Smaniotto dell’Istituto Statale d’Arte di Gargnano (Bs)

Medaglia della D’A Gallery all’opera “Conchiglia” realizzata da Giulia Menardo dell’Istituto Statale d’Arte “A. Corradini” di Este (Pd)

Nella mostra saranno esposte tutte le opere partecipanti; un'occasione unica dove  è possibile prendere visione delle potenzialità tecniche, artistiche e didattiche dei 18 Istituti partecipanti al concorso.

La mostra potrà essere visita secondo l’orario concordato con la Scuola:
dal martedì al sabato dalle ore 9,30 alle ore 12,30
martedì pomeriggio dalle ore 14,30 alle ore 16,30
chiuso il lunedì e durante le festività previste dal calendario scolastico

II Encuentro Nacional de Ceramistas :: Uruguay

Ya comenzaron los preparativos para el Segundo Encuentro Nacional de Ceramistas que se realizará en Uruguay en Setiembre de 2010.

Este Encuentro tendrá carácter internacional y a quién pueda interesarle participar del mismo pronto se ampliará la información.

Villa Nurbs

Exposición temporal en el Museo de Cerámica de Barcelona

ARQUITECTURA.
Villa Nurbs es una vivienda unifamiliar ubicada en la Costa Brava (Gerona). El arquitecto, Enric Ruíz-Geli (Barcelona, 1968), es conocido por sus diseños anti-convencionales en los que combina el movimiento de líneas orgánicas y geometrías complejas con las nuevas tecnologías. Este proyecto ha sido galardonado con la Mención de Honor en los VII Premios de Cerámica ASCER.


CERÁMICA.

Villa Nurbs integra estructuras de última generación con cerámica, un material de larga tradición en arquitectura, tanto en la construcción como en los acabados de los edificios. La producción de las cerámicas destinadas a la fachada norte de este inmueble se ha llevado a cabo mediante moldes tallados con tecnología digital bajo la dirección de Toni Cumella (Granollers, 1951). Las piezas (cuya forma se inspira en las escamas de un reptil o de un animal antediluviano) que configuran la piel cerámica del edificio han sido pintadas por Frederic Amat (Barcelona, 1952). Artista experto en instalaciones cerámicas, Amat ha convertido las cerámicas en piezas únicas de gran valor estético y funcional. Integrando materiales tradicionales y de última generación, Ruíz-Geli ha acercado la industria al arte.
